Too Faced Smokey Eye Palette

I received the Too Faced Smokey Eye Palette in November from a friend of mine for my birthday, and it has since then become a staple of mine! Since I absolutely love all of the shades in this palette and I use it on a regular basis, I thought it was the perfect thing to begin my blog with!

This palette comes with nine shadows, with three large shades and six smaller shades. This kit also contains three cards that show you how to apply three different eye looks. The three eye shadows on the far right (Up in Smoke, Smokin Hot, Smolder) are all matte shades, and the other six have a shimmer finish.
The top colour, Firefly, is a nice champagne shade that works well when used as light inner corner highlight. This is definitely one of my most used shades. The middle colour is Clove, which is very pigmented medium toned shimmery brown colour. The bottom colour is Up in Smoke, which is a cool toned matte brown, which is perfect for darkening up your crease.

The top shade in this photo is White Lie. This colour is a very shimmery silvery white, with decent colour payoff. The second colour is Nice Ash (clever word play Too Faced...) and it's a slightly shimmery charcoal colour. The bottom shade, Smokin Hot, is definitely my most used shade in the palette, and it's just a simple matte black. What I like about this colour, is that it's extremely build able. If used sparingly, it can be a darkish charcoal grey colour, but can easily be intensified to really darken and smoke out a look.

The photo above and the top colour in the photo to the right, is the shade In a Flash. This is an extremely well pigmented, shimmery, and buttery to the touch, silver. I absolutely love this. The middle colour is Smoking Jacket, which is a shimmery purple, that I like, but sadly doesn't get much use from me. The final colour in the palette is probably my favourite to look at, but I don't use as much as I should. This colour is called Smolder, and is a matte navy blue. Anytime I've used this colour in a look, I've been really pleased with the outcome.

Overall, I absolutely adore this palette! This palette costs $36.00 and I feel that it is well worth the price. The packaging is cute and compact, and very easy to travel with. When I do travel,  all I need to bring is this and my Naked palette and I'm set for day and night looks. I think the colours are highly versatile in creating a ton of different and very wearable looks. My only complaint is that I wish instead of the instructional cards, they had added a mirror instead! But regardless, this is an excellent buy and perfect if you want to expand your eyeshadow collection :)
